North Korea launched Hwasong-19 intercontinental ballistic missile.

North Korea displayed it’s military power by launching a Hwasong-19 intercontinental ballistic missile on 31 October 2024.The missile flew higher than the previously launched missiles. Kim Jong Un claimed the missile launch success.

Hwasong-19 had the longest flight time compared to previous missiles. The missile had an altitude of 7,688 kilometers and it traveled a distance of 1,001 kilometers.

However, the launch of Hwasong-19 missile ahead of US elections invited condemnation of various countries including the United States, Japan and South Korea. They issued a joint statement in which they jointly condemned the launch of intercontinental ballistic missile.
